Welcome to Blue Oak Stables, a peaceful and purpose-built horse facility located on 23 acres of open fields and heritage oak trees along Cottonwood Creek in Cottonwood, California. With a balance of high-end amenities and natural beauty, our facility offers the perfect environment for both horses and riders to feel at home.
The Stables
Our stables are designed to provide both comfort and security in every season. Each stall is equipped with fans and misters for the hot summer months, and the barn is insulated to help retain warmth during the winter. We offer four spacious indoor stalls, each thoughtfully connected to a private outdoor run. This setup allows horses to enjoy the safety and structure of a stall while still having the freedom to move and breathe fresh air.
Each stall is cleaned daily, and the barn is maintained to the highest standards to ensure a healthy, low-stress environment. Horses receive personalized care, including twice-daily feedings of quality hay, grain, and any owner-provided supplements. As part of our full-care service, fly masks are applied and removed daily, and stall shavings are available for added comfort.
Quiet, clean, and welcoming, our stable environment is designed to give both horses and owners peace of mind.
The Riding Arena
At the heart of Blue Oak Stables is our show-quality, partially covered arena, measuring 100 by 220 feet and outfitted with Olympic-grade footing. This carefully maintained surface offers excellent traction, cushioning, and consistency for year-round riding, no matter the weather.
Whether you’re schooling, training, or simply enjoying a relaxed ride, the arena offers a dependable, comfortable space with ample room for a variety of disciplines. Its partial cover provides relief from the sun and shelter from rain, while still allowing natural light and airflow to create an enjoyable riding experience in every season.
The arena is more than just a training space, it’s where progress is made, confidence is built, and connection between horse and rider grows.
